Dhoni happy with Yuvraj's comeback
October 22, 2010 (CricIndian): Surrounded by criticism because of his poor form and fitness, Yuvraj Singh is back in the team with a bang. Yuvraj has silenced his critics after an impressive half century against world's no.1 team Australia.
After winning the match, Indian captain Dhoni said, "Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli got us back into the game. Glad to see Yuvraj make runs again and I hope he continues to score runs in the same fashion in future."
Chasing a target of 290 runs against the Australians at Vishakapatnam, Indians had lost two wickets for just 35 runs. But the partnership of 137 runs for the third wicket between Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli came to the rescue.
Yuvraj's scored his 44th career and third half-century against Australia, making 58 runs, with a strike rate of 66.6 runs and scoring five boundaries.
Yuvraj has played 10 ODI matches so far this year and has scored 229 runs at an average of 22.9. This includes just two fifties, one against Sri Lanka and Australia. This innings must have increased Yuvraj's confidence and he is expected to shower runs in the coming matches.
